Hiring A Personal Trainer
So You have decided to hire a personal
trainer. That's great, you are on your way towards physical fitness. But
how do you make sure that you hire the best personal trainer for you? We
will give you some things to check when looking for a personal training
professional.
Education & Training
There are many different personal training
certification organizations and training schools throughout the country.
Ask your potential personal trainer how many hours of hands on training
they have. Also ask them if they hold any certifications in personal
training. If they take their career seriously, they will have some level
of professional training or certification.
References
Check your potential personal trainers
references. See what kind of people they are training. If they are mainly
body builders and all you want is to lose 30 pounds then you might want to
find someone else.
Cost
Beware of the lowest bidder. They are probably
cheap for a reason. A personal trainer who is serious about his or her
career and has confidence in their own abilities will not give their
services away for nothing. You might be able to arrange a discount
however if you agree to pay for a number of sessions up front. Check with
your trainer.
Personality
Try to find a trainer you can get along with.
Chances are that if you do not like your trainer you will stop going.
Spend a few minutes talking to your personal trainer to decide if you will
get along.
